However, Ministry of Health officials say additional records were reported for Toronto Public Health on Monday, resulting in an overestimate of daily case counts. The province added 1,969 new cases with 68 per cent in the hot spots around the GTHA. Nearly 30,400 tests were completed over the last day and 244, 939 people have recovered since the start of the pandemic. Another 36 people have died. Test positivity, when accounting for errors and duplicate tests, is at 5.2 per cent.
