Northern Stars at the Museum

The Timmins Museum is displaying their latest exhibit.

Northern Stars is a series of quilts, made by the Timmins Quilters Guild. There are large bed sized pieces, wall hangings, and smaller works.

The Timmins Quilters Guild created the exhibit by making the quilts by hand and with machines, and includes traditional patterns, original designs, and art quilts.

President Norma Danis put out the challenge for the quilters to incorporate stars into their designs. The exhibit is called the President’s Challenge Quilts, and is on display until the end of the month, May 31st, in the Red Gallery.
