A Smooth Rock Falls man has been found dead after going missing from the hospital. The OPP sent out their helicopter, K9 unit, and members of the North East Region Emergency Response Team to look for the 42 year old man.
Although Paul Sackaney did have ties in Timmins, his body was found Sunday afternoon in the woods in Smooth Rock after a two day search by air and land.
Police don’t think there was any foul play, but an autopsy will be scheduled.Â
The Smooth Rock Falls Crime Unit and the OPP Forensic Identification Support Unit are continuing with the investigation.
The original missing persons report was sent out on Saturday, May 9th. In it, the OPP say that Sackaney was last seen at the Smooth Rock Falls hospital at around 6:15 on Friday the 8th.
