First skiing season under new name begins tomorrow at Mount Jamieson

It probably goes without saying that coronavirus safety measures will be in place tomorrow… when Mount Jamieson opens for the downhill ski season.

The resort was rebranded from “Kamiskotia” earlier this week.

President Cameron Grant says snowmaking operations are allowing tomorrow’s opening.

“For the moment, five major runs with some stemming off on the sides, of course,” he outlines. “We know that some of the younger kids like the glades and the bush skiing.”

“The entire northwest side of the hill, so what we call Skyway is open this weekend and we’re very much looking forward to welcome our existing patrons and new patrons who can continue to enjoy the hill this year.”

The Skyway chairlift will also be operating.  All COVID-19 health measures will be in effect.
