News Virus infects TADH health care worker SHARE ON: Bob McIntyre, staff Saturday, Nov. 21st, 2020 (Timmins and District Hospital) COVID-19 case number 105 in our region is apparently a worker at Timmins and District Hospital. The Porcupine Health Unit didn’t reveal , but the hospital issued a news release on Saturday morning. It says “The Timmins and District Hospital (TADH) was notified that a health care worker has tested positive for COVID-19. “ It also says it immediately began contact tracing, and “All potential staff, physician and patient exposures have been identified, contacted and are following the appropriate public health guidance. Any potential exposures were isolated within the hospital immediately and are following enhanced surveillance measures and the risk to our patients, visitors, physicians and staff remains low.” CLARIFICATION: An early version of this story said that the health worker at TADH is case 106. The hospital now says it is case 105, which was reported by PHU on Thursday.
