The number is below Thursday’s record high of 1,575 but is still the second highest number the province has recorded daily to date. Seventy-four per cent of the cases are in the hot spots around the GTHA. There are 1,018 more resolved cases and over 40,500 tests completed over the last day. Nineteen more people have died from the virus in Ontario bringing the death toll to 3,312.
