Hit-and-run driver sought by TPS

If you witnessed a hit and run at McDonald’s in Timmins on Sunday, November 1, city police might want to talk to you.

Shortly after 5:30 in the afternoon, a pick up truck pulled out of McDonald’s, cutting off another vehicle and causing a collision.  The driver – who was probably a man – took off, headed towards Schumacher.

The vehicle does not have a front plate and the rear plate is either missing or obstructed.  It appears to be a 2003-2006 extended cab model Chevrolet equipped with fog lamps, a silver gas cap, a side running board, and possibly an aftermarket lift kit.

The vehicle fled heading eastbound on Algonquin Blvd. The driver of the vehicle appears to be male.

Anyone who can assist the Timmins Police by providing needed information is asked to call the Timmins Police at 705-264-1201 quoting incident number TI 20022581 or by making use of the Crime Stopper tip line at 1-800-222-8477 or www.p3tips.com
