News Two new cases of COVID-19 include the first in the Kapuskasing area SHARE ON: Bob McIntyre, staff Thursday, Sep. 17th, 2020 The first case of COVID-19 is being reported in the Kapuskasing area. The Porcupine Health Unit says a person in their 20s or 30s who lives somewhere between Fauquier and Opasatika. He or she is in self-isolation while the PHU looks into how they contracted the virus. There’s also a new case in Timmins – someone in their 40s or 50s who was in contact with another positive case and has also gone into isolation. The total now in the PHU region is 79.
