News Keynote address on kids with special needs live streamed in Timmins SHARE ON: Taylor Ablett, staff Thursday, Apr. 23rd, 2015 Photo: Supplied The Learning Disability Association of Sudbury’s first ever regional conference is going to be available in Timmins. Parents and teachers will be able to hear the keynote address thanks to a live stream, hooked up at Northern College. Rick Lavoie, a champion for kids with special needs, will talk about social success and mental health. He will also give different strategies for teachers and parents to help students with social skills. The Accessibility Advisor for Northern College, Jim Chalmers, will be at the event to talk about specific cases, and give additional information.
