News Moose tags slashed this year SHARE ON: Taylor Ablett, staff Thursday, Apr. 16th, 2015 Moose hunters are going to see a shorter season with fewer tags this year. The MNR has cut tags by 15% across the province. They have also made the season shorter for calves. This is because of a declining population, thanks to parasites, climate change, and hunters. The draw opens on Tuesday April 31st, and will run until June 1st. You can enter the draw online by visiting the MNR’s Big Game application website: Click Here The steps are simple: Select where you live, enter your Outdoors Card number, and Moose License number to enter. You can get all of the cards needed at the same time, or if you already have them, you can just enter the draw. The hunting season will start mid-October.
