Ontario adds another 165 cases of COVID-19

Ontario is reporting another 165 cases of COVID-19 bringing the province-wide total to 35,535.

The updated data was released Friday morning and also shows two more people died in the province from the virus since Thursday, bringing the death toll to 2,682.

Of the overall total, 30,909 or 87 percent are resolved and another 24,194 tests were completed since Thursday.

Health Minister Christine Elliott tweeted Friday morning that “Locally, 31 of the province’s 34 public health units—every unit except Toronto, Peel and York—are reporting five or fewer cases, with 14 of them reporting no new cases at all.”
