Ages, genders of three suspected opioid overdoses released by police

Autopsies are set for Thursday in Sudbury, on the three victims of suspected opioid overdoses in Timmins in a 24-hour period over the weekend.

Timmins Police communications coordinator Marc Depatie says eight people needed immediate first aid from police before paramedics arrived.  Five of them were revived.

“Two of the victims are male, they’re aged 25 and 39 respectively, and a 54-year-old female also passed away,” he reports.

“The Timmins Police drug enforcement section is working feverishly on this aspect of the investigation in terms of halting the circulation of this substance.”

The autopsies are expected to confirm the exact substance that killed the trio.
