The Mattagami Region Conservation Authority is warning about flooding for the Mattagami River, and Porcupine and Kamiskotia Lakes. They say to prepare for floods, by moving anything unsecured to higher ground. They also suggest creating an emergency plan in case on evacuation. The MRCA will continue to monitor the water levels. Forecasts issued by Environment Canada indicate that the weather will be getting warmer and more seasonable. Warm days and cool nights will go a long way in reducing the flood risk.
