Curbside service coming Monday to both branches of Timmins Public Library

You can borrow books, magazines and DVDs from the Timmins Public Library again… without going inside either branch.

Starting Monday, curbside pick-up service is being implemented.

CEO Carole-Ann Churcher says you reserve the material you want online, by phone or email to the reference desk.  Then you get a phone call when it’s ready.

“You can park at the main doors and phone the library and let us know you’re here,” Churcher says by way of instruction. “We’ll take out your materials and place them on the table right outside the library and you can pick up your books and then enjoy.”

“Curbside hours are by appointment only,” Churcher adds. “They are Monday to Thursday, 10am to 6pm and Friday 10am to 5pm.”

Book drops are available again at both libraries.  You can drop off materials you’ve had since before the pandemic began.  Late fines have been suspended.
