TADH puts out the call for donated homemade masks

Get out the sewing machine.  Timmins and District Hospital is looking for donations of homemade face masks.

Communications specialist Kaileigh Russell says everyone going into the hospital building is required to wear a mask.

“At this time, we are asking those who need to attend hospital to please consider bringing your own non-medical facial covering if you do have to attend the hospital,” she says.

The donations are meant to save the hospital’s supply of medical grade masks for medical personnel.

“These non-medical masks would be provided to individuals who are attending the hospital,” says Russell.  “Donations can be brought to the front entrance of the hospital in a sealed plastic bag between 7am and 8am daily.”

If you need more information, call the hospital’s general inquiries line at 705-267-2131 or email [email protected] .
