The gauntlet has been thrown down by the Chamber of Commerce… for all businesses in Timmins to take part in a business community cleanup.
The chamber’s manager of business services, Carmen Swartz, says it runs all next week, starting on Sunday.
“If you have some graffiti up, try to take that down;” she says, “pick up perhaps some garbage that was uncovered when the snow melted; and of course, do that by physical distancing and wearing the proper protective equipment.”
“We have a number of other groups that are encouraging residents to clean up their neighbourhoods and we thought we would take the lead as the business organization in town to encourage our businesses to do that as well.”
