Work at the Whitney Tisdale lift station is a couple months behind schedule. City Engineer Luc Duval gave a quarterly report to city council this week, saying the rainy summer and extreme cold this winter is forcing delays.
He also mentioned the soil conditions aren’t in ideal shape.
The construction crew is building two large tanks to catch excess sewage run off, so it doesn’t end up in Porcupine Lake. The constant issue of overflow has been around for decades.
The first phase of the project should be done by the end of 2015.
