A Special Weather Statement has been issued for Timmins, Cochrane, and Iroquois Falls for Thursday-Friday (March 19-20th):

“Significant snowfall expected Thursday evening into Friday. Snow will begin over the area Thursday afternoon and become heavier through the evening. Snow may mix with rain Thursday evening. Snow will continue into Friday before gradually weakening Friday evening. Total snowfall amounts of 10 to 20 cm are expected.” For more details, please click the link here.

The City of Timmins Winter Parking By-Law is now in effect. From November 1st, 2019 to April 30th, 2020, vehicles may not park on the streets overnight, from 11:30pm to 7:30am. Cars can park overnight in areas with signage that reads “Parking Permitted Unless Otherwise Posted”. Towing will occur anytime an illegally parked vehicle interferes with winter operations, like snow plowing. More details about the Winter Parking By-Law can be found here.
