Daytime and night-time snow removal by the city teams will be taking place this week, from March 9th to March 13th, 2020. Streets could be closed, lanes could be reduced. The best option is to find an alternate route to your destination. However, here are the roads that will be effected, and when city snow removal teams plan to clear them.

Daytime Snow Removal 7:30 Am to 4:00 PM

From March 9th to March 13th, 2020, the Public Works Department wishes to inform the public that:

Monday, March 9th, starting at 7:30 AM:

  • South Porcupine: Front, Essa

Tuesday, March 10th, starting at 7:30 AM:

  • South Porcupine: Shamrock, Dome

Wednesday, March 11th, starting at 7:30 AM:

  • South Porcupine: Legion (Quebec to Harold), Bloor

Thursday, March 12th, starting at 7:30 AM:

  • Schumacher: Brundy, Delost, Prospector, Claimpost

Friday, February 13th, starting at 7:30 AM:

  • South Porcupine: Main (Strachan to Harold)

Night Time Snow Removal 9:30 PM to 7:30 AM

From March 9th to March 13th, 2020, the Public Works Department wishes to inform the public that crews will be doing night time snow removal.

Monday, March 9th, starting at 7:30 AM:

  • Timmins South: Algonquin (Highway 655 to Brunette)
  • Schumacher: Highway 101 (Carium to Highway 655)

Tuesday, March 10th, starting at 7:30 AM:

  • Timmins South: Algonquin (Mountjoy to Mattagami)

Wednesday, March 11th, starting at 7:30 AM:

  • Mountjoy: Riverside (Mattagami to Clifford)

The above plan or parts of the plan may also be changed at any time and/or delayed if a winter storm is in effect, or if there is a mechanical issue. The snow removal crew will change to a snow plowing operation. Those streets that may not be done will be done on the next available snow removal shift.
