A big shake up at the Ring of Fire.
Junior mining company Noront Resources has struck a deal with Cliffs Natural Resources to buy most of the company’s chromite assets in the area, in a $20M deal.
The transaction is still awaiting court approval.
Noront has already completed a three-year environmental at the site, which if approved, would give them the green light to start building a mine.
