Not only is today a PD Day, it’s a bonus day at the Hollinger Skate Path.
Timmins Community Park Association president Mark Rogers says the warming trailer and snow slide are open from noon until 9:00pm.
“Normally on Fridays we open the trailer up from four to nine,” he remarks, “but today the stars aligned, we have a board member and some volunteers available, so we decided to open it at 12 o’clock for the kids to come and change and we have skates there for them to borrow to try out skating.”
Rogers says the rink is in great shape, too.
“I was at the ice yesterday and I got one comment from one person that said if the ice was any better, it would be indoor ice.”
The trailer and washrooms are open tomorrow from 10:00am until 9:00pm and Sunday, noon to 6:00pm.
