Daytime and night-time snow removal by the city teams will be taking place this week, from January 13th, 2020 to January 17th, 2020. Streets could be closed, lanes could be reduced. The best option is to find an alternate route to your destination. However, here are the roads that will be effected, and when city snow removal teams plan to clear them.

Daytime Snow Removal 7:30 Am to 4:00 PM

From January 13th, 2020 to January 17th, 2020, the Public Works Department wishes to inform the public that:

Monday, January 13th, starting at 7:30 AM:

  • Timmins South: Elm (Second to Dead end), Maple (Second to Dead end), First (Mountjoy to Pine)
  • Schumacher: Dwyer, Fourth (Boundary to Vipond), Vipond (Templeton to Father Costello), Les Hall

Tuesday, January 14th, starting at 7:30 AM:

  • Timmins North: Hemlock (Fifth to Ross), Tamarack (Fifth to Ross), Spruce (Sixth to Ross)
  • South Porcupine: Essa, Dome

Wednesday, January 15th, starting at 7:30 AM:

  • Timmins North: Cedar (Fifth to Ross), Eighth, Ninth
  • South Porcupine: Shamrock, Legion (Shamrock to Harold)

Thursday, January 16th, starting at 7:30 AM:

  • Timmins South: Belanger, Rea (Wilson to Southern)
  • Schumacher: Battochio, Aura Lake, Boundary, Fourth (Boundary to Croatia)

Friday, January 17th, starting at 7:30 AM:

  • South Porcupine: Strachan, Quebec, Front

Night Time Snow Removal 9:30 PM to 7:30 AM

From January 13th, 2020 to January 15th, 2020, the Public Works Department wishes to inform the public that crews will be doing night time snow removal.

Monday, January 13th, starting at 9:30 PM:

  • Timmins North/Mountjoy: Lonergan, Power, Joseph, Norman

Tuesday, January 14th, starting at 9:30 PM:

  • South Porcupine: Bruce (Legion to Lakeview), Main (Strachan to Shamrock), Golden (Legion to Evans), Powell (Crawford to Main), Bloor (Lakeview to Legion), Crawford (Golden to Shamrock)

Wednesday, January 15th, starting at 9:30 PM:

  • Timmins North: Waterloo (Algonquin to Ross), Rea (Algonquin to Ross), Messines, Vimy (Theriault to MacLean)

The above plan or parts of the plan may also be changed at any time and/or delayed if a winter storm is in effect, or if there is a mechanical issue. The snow removal crew will change to a snow plowing operation. Those streets that may not be done will be done on the next available snow removal shift.
