Timmins city council is looking into spending almost $400K on a Connecting Link study.
Highway 101 is in constant disrepair, and council is looking for the best way to fix it.
Mayor Steve Black says the Wynne government acknowledged they made a mistake when they pulled funding for the Connecting Link.
He says his office has been in talks with the province, on how much work they anticipate seeing.

Black says the next step is to award the contract at Monday’s council meeting. They will get a recommendation from engineering for who will carry out the preliminary design.
The project could cost up to $70M by the time it’s all done.
Council will vote on who to give the preliminary design work to at next week’s city council meeting.
