When the holiday season is over, the Festive RIDE program is done for another year. But MADD conducts its “Campaign 9-1-1” all year long.
Timmins chapter president Amy St. Amour says the campaign relies on you, and is not very complicated.
“If you suspect an impaired driver, call 9-1-1,” she asks. “Our dispatchers are prepared for those phone calls, our officers are prepared to investigate a potentially impaired driver.
“You can watch for things like people weaving in and out of lanes, driving too fast, driving too slow, missing signs, stoplights, speed limits, anything that might look out of the ordinary.”
