No collisions to report, however:
- We got a call saying that the intersection of Mountjoy and Algonquin is closed off.
- Got a report of a transport truck on it’s side about 5min south of Matheson on HWY 11 with traffic backed up about 1km in each direction.
The City of Timmins Winter Parking By-Law is now in effect. From November 1st, 2019 to April 30th, 2020, vehicles may not park on the streets overnight, from 11:30pm to 7:30am. Cars can park overnight in areas with signage that reads “Parking Permitted Unless Otherwise Posted”. Towing will occur anytime an illegally parked vehicle interferes with winter operations, like snow plowing. More details can be found here.
