No one was hurt and no credible threat has been determined, following the lockdown at one Timmins school, and a hold and secure that a next door school this afternoon.
City police say they initiated the lock down at TH&VS based on information they had received. Ecole Catholique SecondaireThéeriault was placed under hold and secure status, and although police don’t say how, they do say that Collège Boréal and R. Ross Beattie Senior Public School were “collaterally affected”.
Investigators say it turns out that there was no legitimate threat against any student or faculty member at any of those schools. They’re focusing now on the validity and extent of the elements that led to the security measures.
