Three communities in Northeastern Ontario have made the list for Top 100 Festivals and Events in Ontario. The three are Timmins, Mattawa and Sault Ste. Marie. The Sault was named for its Passport to Unity event in May and Mattawa made the list for its annual Voyageur Days in July. Timmins is on the list with its Great Canadian Kayak Challenge and Festival in late August. Festivals and Events Ontario runs the promotion each year looking for submissions from communities across the province.
