News No charges laid on OPP officer after death in Chapleau, says SIU SHARE ON: Taylor Ablett, staff Friday, Feb. 27th, 2015 There is going to be no criminal charges against an OPP officer in connection with an August death in Chapleau. The 27 year old died after falling off of a second floor balcony. The OPP were at the building because they had gotten a call about him making threats. However, officers were outside of the building when he fell. The SIU says his blood alcohol level was extremely high.
