The Timmins Northstars were once a proud franchise many years ago in the former Northland Intermediate Hockey League. The Northstars will be holding a big reunion this Saturday and Sunday at the Mac Curling Club. At least 55 former players are registered for the event that includes a social hour, team supper and speeches from several dignitaries including former players Bill Hughes, Tony Godin who was an executive member, former business partner Fred Trembinski, as well as long time member of the media Mike Doody.
