Getting your kids into the concerts with you at Rock on the River later this month need not break the bank.
“Kids ten and under will get in free with a cash donation of whatever fits your budget,” says Timmins Festivals and Events Committee co-chair Jeremy Wilson.
All the money collected that way will be split evenly between the Yo Mobile and Timmins Family YMCA.
“We thought it was a good way to give back,” explains Wilson. “We’re always looking at ways to give back and we haven’t been able to incorporate these two groups yet, so this is a pefrect opportunity for us.
“Sometimes, people can’t afford tickets for the whole family. If it’s $5.00 or $10.00 per kid, if you can go higher and closer to a ticket amount, any amount we can raise is really going to help the Yo Mobile and YMCA.
