Today is a national day against bullying

Wear your pink shirt today to show support for anti-bullying. The national campaign began in a Nova Scotia high school, and has grown from there. Timmins is taking part in the campaign, by having police officers in schools helping to raise awareness. Constable Rick Lemieux says bullying is talked about more now than ever.

Lemieux also says online bullying is part of the campaign.

Lemieux says not only are kids being bullied online, but they are also reporting it online. Police will be teaching Keepin’ It Real classes on anti-bullying in their pink shirts today.

Lemieux goes on to say bullying happens in more than just schools.
