We the North are getting our own Jurassic Park at the Mac… for Game 5 of the Raptors-Warriors NBA championship Monday night  And games 6 and 7 if necessary, too.

It wiill be on the rink floor with two 12 ft. x 7 ft. TV screens and big sound.

The whole thing is being organized by hockey player Derek Seguin.

“I’ve been humbled by the support of the community playing for the Rock these past couple years,” he says. “They’ve given me so much support that I kind of felt that this was a way for me to give back to them.”

Seguin says admission will be free. “We will be accepting non-perishable food items at the door for the Timmins Food Bank as well as monetary donations,” he notes.

A 50-50 draw supporting the food bank is also planned, as are food vendors and a cash bar.

UPDATE AT 4:00pm FRIDAY:  City Hall says the McIntyre Mine headframe will be lit up with the Raptors logo for the rest of the playoff.
