There was a pat on the back at the May 14 Timmins council meeting, for the public works department workers who worked so diligently all winter to clear snow off city streets.
It was delivered to public works manager Ken Krcel, by acting mayor Joe Campbell, who is the councillor representing Schumacher. Here is what he said:
