There is no license needed to ice fish this weekend. The MNR is encouraging families to get some fresh air on the ice. Natural Resources Minister Bill Mauro says it’s an affordable way to try a new, fun, family activity. He says you’ll be hooked. Keep safety in mind though. Before you head out, check ice conditions, and make sure you are properly dressed. A lot of anglers will wear flotation suits and carry ice picks.
