- Algonquin Boulevard is CLOSED from Theriault Boulevard to Mattagami Drive, due to a collision between a commercial vehicle and hydro pole. Here is the news release from Timmins Police:”Timmins Police have closed Algonquin Blvd from Theriault to Mattagami Drive due to a collision involving a commercial motor vehicle (cmv) and power lines in that area. The roadway remains closed for safety reasons linked to this early morning collision.
– Eastbound traffic can take Mattagami Drive and continue east on Wilson or Commercial
– Westbound traffic will take Theriault and proceed on Airport Road and access the west end of the city via Lafleur Drive.Norman Street is NOT a viable detour route for heavy traffic. The collision remains under investigation at this time. No confirmation on injuries or duration of closure at this time.”
- Airport Road is CLOSED between Westmount Blvd and Riverpark Road, due to a water main break
Just a reminder to obey any barricades put up by Timmins Police on roads that have been flooded along Porcupine Lake and the Mattagami River.
