News Protest in South Porcupine over failing computer program SHARE ON: Taylor Ablett, staff Tuesday, Feb. 10th, 2015 A new computer system that has created havoc for social assistance users is being protested this week. The rally will be in South Porcupine, with OPSEU members spreading awareness. The program, called the Social Assistance Management System (SAMS), was launched last year. The Ontario Public Services Employee Union says it is failing, and those who use it deserve better. There has been late and missed payments, along with system errors. OPSEU will be outside of the government complex on Thursday at 12-30.
