Students walk out to protest Ford government education cuts and changes

High school students across Ontario walked out of class today to protest planned changes to education and its funding by the Doug Ford government.

Outside O’Gorman Catholic High in Timmins… student ambassador Patrick Pegg led a crowd of about one-hundred of his classmates in chanting “Doug Ford is rich and rude, we don’t like his attitude.”

And urged adults to voice their displeasure, too.

“It’s time to start the conversation.  Sign a petition to support students.  Save our education.  Say no to Doug Ford.”

A couple of blocks over, a small group Grade 8 students at O’Gorman Intermediate held their own version of the walkout… but weren’t as well versed on specific issues as the high school students.
