Almost 3000 Community Care Access Centre workers are on strike. This includes workers at the North East LHIN. The strike will affect registered nurses, physiotherapists, and health professionals. The Ontario Nurses Association has been in talks with the province over the past few weeks, but a strike was voted yes last night. The main sticking point is a secure contract with fair wages.
