News Grade 8’s “Keepin’ It Real” SHARE ON: Taylor Ablett, staff Thursday, Jan. 29th, 2015 The Timmins Police has launched a new program for grade eight students this week. Called Keepin’ It Real, the program teaches youth to think critically about risk assessment, decision making, and drugs. This is the first program of its kind in Canada. Police say teaching the program at the grade eight level is ideal, to have the message sent before high school. All four school boards will be taking part in the program, taught by Constable Rick Lemieux.
