Northern College Timmins Campus, is closed today due to the weather.
Also, school buses for all four school districts in Timmins have been CANCELLED for today (Monday, February 25th). Schools will remain OPEN.
The cancellations affect all four of Timmins’ school boards:
- Conseil Scolaire Public du Nord-Est de L’Ontario
- District School Board Ontario North East
- Northeastern Catholic District School Board
- Conseil Scolaire Catholique de District des Grandes Rivieres
School buses are cancelled in Cochrane, Iroquois Falls, and Matheson due to road conditions.
With the 10cm of snow that came down overnight (and more to come), the overnight road crews worked hard to clear the streets, but many side roads are still completely covered in a fresh blanket of snow.
This is the 11th time that the school buses have been cancelled for the 2018-2019 school year.
