A 55-year-old man is facing four charges that accuse him of assaulting a worker at the Living Space shelter on Cedar Street North yesterday.
Timmins police say the suspect ran away after brandishing an edged weapon and getting into a fight with the worker.
He was located nearby and when he was searched, he had other weapons on him.
The suspect is charged with uttering threats, assault with a weapon, possession of a concealed weapon, and violating a probation order.
