News Know how to survive outside during the winter? SHARE ON: Taylor Ablett, staff Wednesday, Jan. 14th, 2015 Living in the North means braving the elements, and now you can learn how. The Timmins Porcupine Search and Rescue is kicking off their winter survival training course tonight. The 10 week program offers training in navigation, medical emergencies, and the psychology of survival. They also train on making fire and shelter. They also have an overnight exercise in March. Held at Northern College, registrations will be accepted until the start of the first class. It starts at 7:00 PM tonight. CLICK HERE to register.
