LIGHTING UP THE NEW YEAR’S EVE SKY OVER IROQUOIS FALLS

Several hundred people in Iroquois Falls said good-bye to 2018 on Monday night, at a fireworks display.

It was the fifth annual Scottie’s Memorial Community Fireworks, over the main ballpark in the Falls.

Scott McKinnon was a fireworks lover who died on December 26th, 2014.  That was five days before his 27th birthday.

His family raises money for the fireworks every year, and gives any surplus to a worthy cause.

This year, it’s the trust fund for young Ellie and Walter Moreau, who lost their mother a few months ago.

Tim McKinnon – Scottie’s dad – says that’s $1,300 so far, with more expected to come in.
