Seven members are being sought, to sit on a new Arts and Culture Council in Timmins.
The council is a joint project between the Economic Development Corporation, the Timmins Museum and Tourism Timmins.
The overall aim is to support and enhance the local arts and culture community.
TEDC communications co-ordinator Kelsey Luxton says applicants should represent a wide range of experience in things like financial management, marketing and fundraising, to name a few.
“As well as some experience within the arts and culture,” she explains. “ So if you do have a stake in the arts and culture, we would hope to see some applications from those people.”
Information is available on the TEDC website. Luxton says there’s also an opportunity to hear what it’s all about.
“We are hosting a roundtable again in January, on the 29th at 1:00pm at the Timmins Museum. We’re just going to discuss some expectations for board members and where we’re going afterwards.”
The application deadline is February 8th.
