Starting January first, cash fares and tickets are going up by $0.25. Full information from the Timmins Transit website: Timmins Transit operates under “The Exact Fare System”. Passengers are asked to please have the exact fare when boarding the bus as drivers do not carry tickets or change. Effective January 1, 2014 the following fare structure will apply: Timmins Transit Cash Fares Cash Fares (Exact fare required. Drivers do not make change.) Adults: $2.50 Students (5 years of age & over): $2.00 * Seniors (aged 65 and over): $2.00 * Children (0 to 4 years of age): Free when accompanied by a responsible person. * Student/senior card must be shown on request.
