There’s a surefire way to get into the Christmas spirit and maybe burn off some of your kids’ energy, at a free event this Saturday in downtown Timmins.
Holiday Fun Day is a joint effort of the BIA, the library and the museum.
Each has its own events planned. Inside the museum, program co-ordinator Meagan Sinclair says kids will be able to decorate Christmas ornaments to take home.
“We’ll be having a bonfire outside and kids can roast marshmallows, listen to music. And then in one of our art galleries, Charlie Angus and Gilles Bisson have sponsored family portraits.”

The whole event is free at all three locations. Organizers simply ask that people bring a donation for the food bank.
Holiday Fun Day runs Saturday, from 1:00pm to 4:00pm.
