Areas around hydroelectric stations and dams are not safe for outdoor sports, like skating or sledding. That’s according to Mike Martelli, O-P-G’s Senior Vice President of Hydro-Thermal operations. Ontario Power Generation is reminding everyone that those areas have inconsistent and thin ice. With changing weather conditions, it is even more important to keep an eye out for warning signs.
