News Historic partnership in Kirkland Lake SHARE ON: Taylor Ablett, staff Friday, Dec. 19th, 2014 There has been a historic signing between First Nations and a Canadian mining company in Kirkland Lake. The signing between Beaverhouse First Nation and Canadian Malartic Corporation took two and a half years to achieve. The agreement describes how the two parties will work together during mine exploration and development. It was officially signed yesterday. Peter Politis, Mayor of Cochrane, says this could help the Ring of Fire.
