A Northern Ontario New Democrat trying to get to the bottom of an alleged bribe is making an appeal to Premier Kathleen Wynne.

Gilles Bisson, the MPP for Timmins James Bay, wants Wynne to ensure staff don’t delete e-mails connected with the affair.

The allegations involve high ranking Liberals bribing a Sudbury Liberal candidate with a job or an appointment if he dropped out of the race.

The candidate, Andrew Olivier, went public with the bribe allegation earlier this week.

Wynne doesn’t deny that Liberals spoke to Olivier but she says at no time was he bribed to step aside.
