Spooks Help the Community

Spooks and scares helped out local charities this year.

Gaetan and Suzanne Bellemare set up a haunted house at their Dianne Crescent home every year, and this year decided to collect various items for a few charities. The couple says they useually attract hundreds of people to their home for the holiday, so they wanted to do something a little bit different in order to give back. Each person that came to the haunted house was asked to bring a small donation for either the Timmins Foodbank or Yo Mobile.

Gaetan says the couple raised $472.70 and a few bags of clothes for the Yo Mobile, as well as 275 pounds of food for the Foodbank. He says it’s great to see the community come together and step up for those who need some help.

The couple adds that they are looking forward to next year’s Halloween.
